Cranbrook Academy - Grounds

Another beautiful cranbrook shot. This is where, after dinner from age 1 to 11, my friends and I would play while we waited for the adults to finish and collect us for the car rides home.

  1. So just curious, how does the Cranbrook Academy intersect with Frank Lloyd Wright? I know the main manor house was an Albert Kahn design. See? I do read your blog!

  2. Well, I'm no expert, but most of the school was designed by Eliel Saarinen. I know they were contemporaries, but I don't think Wright had much of a role in Cranbrook.
